Our UVic community believes everyone has a right to live, learn, work and play in an environment free from sexualized violence. Everyone should have the ability to fully participate in and thrive in our campus community and we know that experiencing sexualized violence can interfere with a person’s ability to do so. As a UVic student, you have a responsibility to help create and maintain a safe and inclusive environment for everyone.   – From the course home page

In order for our community to be free of sexualized violence, all community members need to understand sexualized violence and consent. That includes the newest members of our community, our incoming students. By including this topic in the Pre-Arrival Program, we hope this learning reaches a large number of our students and helps to create a better world.
